Who processes your data

What data we store
- Your email address and password (only as an irreversible hash) — to sign in.
- Data you enter: transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, plans, projects, tags, assets, loans, income sources, clients and working hours.
- Your name for the family budget, if you provided one.
Voice
Speech is recognised by your phone using the system speech service (Google on Android, Apple on iPhone; it may process audio on that company's servers under its own terms). Only the resulting text of the phrase reaches our server; voice recordings are never sent to us or stored.
Bank SMS and notifications
If you turn on automatic entries, the app on your phone processes only SMS from the senders you selected (your banks), and only messages about money movements; SMS from anyone else are skipped. One-time codes and personal messages are discarded on the phone and are not sent anywhere. The text of a bank message is used for parsing and is not stored: the server keeps only the resulting transaction and a technical fingerprint (hash) so that the same purchase is not recorded twice. For notifications from other apps that contain amounts, only the app name is remembered on the phone.
Artificial intelligence
To parse phrases and unusual bank messages, the text is sent to an external language model (YandexGPT by Yandex). Before sending, card and account numbers, phone numbers and email addresses are removed from the text. The names of your categories, projects, tags and accounts are sent along with the text so they can be matched correctly. For the “Ask Monya” analyses the model receives a summary: income and spending totals by month and category, account balances and names, loans, budgets, recurring payments and goals — without a list of transactions and with the same removals.
Usage statistics
To understand how the service works we count per day: the number of server requests and AI analyses, the app version and phone model, and the country and city. Country and city are determined from the IP address with a local database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); the address itself is not stored. Visits to the download page are counted anonymously: country, city, device type and referring site. Transaction contents and amounts are never included in statistics.
Exchange rates and prices
The server requests exchange rates and the key rate from the Bank of Russia and cryptocurrency prices from CoinGecko. These requests contain none of your data.
Subscription payments
Monya Premium is paid through the app store — Google Play, App Store or RuStore. We never receive your card details: the store tells our server only the purchase identifier, the plan and the expiry date, which are used to turn Premium on.
Family budget
Family members see only the transactions and accounts their author marked as shared with the family. Everything else is visible only to you.
Where data is stored
On a server in Russia. Database backups are made daily and kept for up to 30 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
- We don't make payments and have no access to your bank accounts.
Deletion
You can delete your account and all data in the app: More → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is irreversible; data disappears from backups when their retention period ends (up to 30 days). Without the app — on the page monya.iteasy.biz/delete-account or by email to y.gorbunov@iteasy.biz.
